Aa Harimanada is a Sega Genesis title adapting its manga and anime source material into a competitive arena. While the setting and objective are drawn from sumo wrestling, where victory is achieved by forcing an opponent from the ring, its execution aligns more closely with conventional one-on-one fighting games.
Players engage using a variety of techniques including grabs and throws, with special moves also available. An opponent can be defeated not only by ring-out but also by depleting their stamina for a knockout. The roster consists of fifteen selectable characters.
Available modes include a narrative-driven single-player experience following the protagonist Harimanada, alongside a versus option that supports either one or two players.
