Final Blow is a boxing action game where players compete in knockout tournaments. The objective is to weaken an opponent through punches to score a knockdown that lasts ten seconds. Defensive play is possible by blocking incoming attacks to prevent damage.
Matches are divided into one minute rounds with brief intermissions. The confined space of the ring allows fighters to be cornered, though the referee will separate boxers if they become locked in a stalemate. It should be noted this Genesis title is distinct from a different Master System game sharing its name.
