Ninja Crusaders is a side scrolling action title where players control ninjas fighting against an alien force that has largely destroyed humanity. The game supports both single player and cooperative two player modes.
Players begin equipped with throwing stars that cover long distances but are not very powerful. More potent close range weapons, such as a sword, a chain whip, and a bo staff, can be found during play. The ninja characters possess a notably high jumping ability.
