Dr. Chaos Overview
Dr. Chaos is a platform game set within a scientist's mansion that has been breached by other dimensions. The player controls Michael, who must locate his missing brother by navigating the corrupted estate.
Gameplay alternates between two distinct modes. One involves side scrolling combat against mutant creatures using an arsenal that includes a knife, pistol, machine pistol, and grenades. The other mode presents first person maze exploration inside the mansion's rooms, where searching furniture and walls reveals portals.
Progress requires entering these dimensional holes, which return the player to platforming stages. Each of these stages concludes with a boss encounter, and defeating one yields a component of a device called the Warpgate. Retrieving each piece necessitates a return journey back through the level to the central mansion to find the next portal, making the overall structure challenging.
