Burai Fighter Overview
Burai Fighter is an arcade shooter where the player opposes an alien race known as the Burai. This enemy faction employs hybrid organic-robot soldiers called robo-mutants in its campaign for universal domination.
The game operates with a control scheme allowing shots to be aimed in eight directions. A sustained press of the fire button continues the attack in the selected direction without requiring repeated input.
Level designs primarily consist of side-scrolling and vertical-scrolling stages with fixed layouts. A secondary mode features a top-down perspective with environments that are procedurally generated, introducing variety. The player's arsenal includes multiple gun types, such as laser, missile, and ring weapons, alongside a screen-clearing cobalt bomb.
