Bonk's Adventure Overview
Bonk's Adventure is a prehistoric platformer where players control a bald caveman through various levels. The objective involves freeing the inhabitants of Moonland, including Princess Za, from King Drool and his henchmen. Combat relies exclusively on headbutting enemies, which can be executed directly or with a diving attack.
Progression shifts from straightforward stages to more exploratory ones, where hidden bonus areas become important. A unique spin attack, activated with a turbo button, allows Bonk to float. This mechanic serves both for navigating to secret items and for offensive purposes.
Health is represented by hearts, starting with three. This total can be increased by finding special containers, letting Bonk sustain more hits. Points are earned through defeating enemies and completing bonus stages, with extra lives granted upon reaching certain score thresholds. An additional scoring tactic involves repeatedly striking defeated foes before they touch the ground.
