Virtual Pool Overview
Virtual Pool is a simulation designed to instruct players in the mechanics of pool, from beginners to experienced players seeking improvement. Its physics and gameplay were developed with input from professional players and physicists to achieve a high degree of realism in ball movement and collisions on a three-dimensional table.
A key feature is the player's ability to move their perspective around the table to examine shots from various angles, mimicking the physical act of walking around a real table. The game also provides an overhead view, which is not possible in an actual game of pool.
Instruction from world champion "Machine Gun" Lou Butera is included, offering tips and over thirty trick shots for players to learn and practice within the simulation. The intent is for these skills to be transferable to play on a physical table.
