Might and Magic: Clouds of Xeen Overview
Might and Magic: Clouds of Xeen is the fourth entry in its series, directly continuing the story from Isles of Terra. Its structure and gameplay are largely consistent with that predecessor, utilizing the same graphics and interface.
The narrative involves two separate threads. One follows the ongoing pursuit of Sheltem by Corak and six heroes from Terra, a chase through space that has gone off course. The other is set on the world of Xeen, where a local group of adventurers investigates the schemes of Lord Xeen, who has captured the overseer Crodo.
Gameplay additions include a note-taking function for quests and locations, a dedicated inventory for quest items, and the introduction of two selectable difficulty levels. A notable technical feature is the presence of pyramids throughout the world; these act as teleportation devices when the subsequent installment, Darkside of Xeen, is installed.
Installing both games allows them to be played as one combined experience called World of Xeen. This merged version enables simultaneous play and introduces crossover quests that span both titles.
