International Ninja Rabbits is a side scrolling action game where the player character moves horizontally across levels. The protagonist, named Bugs, engages in combat with enemies that approach from the right side of the screen.
Bugs can attack using punches, kicks, or a stick to defeat these opponents, who are capable of retaliating. Player health is represented by a carrot shaped meter that depletes upon taking hits, and a life is lost when this meter is emptied.
The objective involves traveling to multiple global locations to destroy chemical plants, continuing a mission from a prior game. Levels offer both above ground and underground paths for navigation, providing some environmental variety during the journey from left to right.
