Windwalker Overview
Windwalker is a sequel to Moebius that merges side-view real-time combat with role-playing systems. The player, joined by the character Moebius, travels through a living world where villagers and creatures like giant beetles follow their own routines under changing daylight and weather conditions.
Combat involves facing thieves, guards, and assassins using martial arts maneuvers such as flying kicks and cartwheels. Players can choose to engage in continuous fighting or pause briefly between encounters, suggesting a fair pacing option. Magic systems include disciplines like Deism and Shamanism, while magical vehicles assist in traversing the game's hundred landscapes, though exploration often occurs on foot.
Instead of a traditional overhead perspective, the role-playing components use a pseudo-3D interface. This design supports an active universe where the player's quest centers on mastering martial arts across a dynamic environment.
