Command & Conquer Overview
Command & Conquer is a real time strategy title where players manage one of two factions in a conflict over a hazardous alien substance. This material, called Tiberium, is central to the economy as it is harvested and processed into currency for building bases and military forces.
The opposing forces are the Global Defense Initiative and The Brotherhood of Nod, each with unique structures and units like infantry and armored vehicles. Missions typically require establishing a base to enable production, with control executed via mouse commands as enemy forces act continuously.
Narrative context is provided through full motion video sequences before and after missions. The design expands upon concepts from the developer's earlier work, Dune II, offering more than fifteen scenarios playable from either side's perspective.
