Warlords Overview
Warlords is a medieval strategy game where players compete for control of eighty cities across the realm of Illuria. The objective is to eliminate all rival factions to achieve domination.
Up to eight participants can play on a single machine, each selecting from various human, non-human, or a specific evil Warlord faction. Economic and military power is derived from cities, which generate gold used to raise armies. Occasionally, heroes may acquire special rewards from a limited number of sages, available on a first-come basis.
This title represents an early form of the strategy genre, establishing foundational concepts for later games. The gameplay involves managing resources and military forces across a shared map, making the experience challenging as players contend with multiple opponents.
