Alien Breed: Tower Assault Overview
Alien Breed: Tower Assault is a top-down shooter set on a remote planetary outpost. The facility has been overrun by an unidentified alien force, severing all contact. Two marines, Nash and Jordan, survive a crash landing after their approach is met by erratic defensive fire, forcing them to confront the invasion alone.
Players navigate through a mix of interior and exterior environments, with a significant focus on exploring multi-story towers. The structure is non-linear, offering multiple exits on most levels and allowing progression through different routes. A key objective involves triggering a self-destruct sequence, after which a swift escape becomes necessary.
Gameplay involves shooting through enemies while gathering resources like credits, ammunition, and keys. Credits can be used at computer terminals to purchase upgraded weaponry. A tactical addition to the combat is a retreat function, enabling the marine to fire while moving backward.
