Final Impact Overview
Final Impact is a vertical scrolling shooter set in a conflict with the alien Xarras alliance. The player assumes the role of a squadron captain operating from a mothership, undertaking a series of eleven missions to repel the invasion of the Core sector.
Mission preparation involves selecting a spacecraft, its weapons, and ammunition, all within financial and weight constraints. Funds for this equipment are acquired through mission completion, making resource management a continuous consideration. The core gameplay consists of confronting waves of enemies and environmental hazards, such as magnetic fields that affect ship handling.
During combat, weapons can be swapped, with certain configurations allowing fire in multiple directions. The primary objective is to eliminate all hostile targets, defining the action as challenging and straightforward in its execution.
