The Ignition Factor Overview
The Ignition Factor is a Super Nintendo Entertainment System title where players assume the role of a firefighter across diverse locations such as a museum, a mine, and a skyscraper. Preparation involves reviewing a mission map to identify victims and hazards, then selecting from gear like extinguishers, an axe, a rope, and an oxygen tank.
Gameplay is challenging due to persistent threats including explosive barrels and structural collapses, with no items to restore health or extinguisher supplies. Carrying more equipment imposes a movement penalty, restricting the character to walking instead of running or kicking. The primary objectives remain consistent: rescue trapped civilians, manage or avoid fires, and prevent the firefighter from succumbing to burns.
Success is measured by a points system that factors in rescued victims, remaining time, and specific event completions. Achieving a high total score by the game's conclusion unlocks a special bonus stage.
