Trolls on Treasure Island Overview
Trolls on Treasure Island is an unlicensed Nintendo Entertainment System title. Its premise involves twin trolls exploring an island after hearing tales of lost treasure from their grandfather.
Gameplay is puzzle oriented, requiring the player to collect all jewels in a room. This is complicated by a color matching system where the controlled troll must have hair color corresponding to a jewel to collect it. Hair color is changed by bouncing over paint cans scattered on the playfield.
The player must complete these tasks while avoiding enemies and a time limit. A total of 32 levels are present, and a custom level editor is included for creating new puzzles. The core mechanics are noted as being similar to those found in another game, Dudes with Attitude.
