Super Bowling Overview
Super Bowling is a multiplayer sports title for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System supporting up to four participants. Its mechanics center on two primary timing based meters that govern ball spin and the power of the throw, both requiring precise stops at a central point for optimal effect.
Player customization occurs before a match, with a choice of four distinct characters who vary in their inherent power and spin control. Further adjustments include selecting ball weight, the distance of lane oil, handedness, and a challenging hard difficulty setting as an alternative to the standard option.
Beyond standard ten pin bowling, the game offers a Golf Mode which presents nine unique pin arrangements, each with a par score. Success here is measured by the number of throws taken to clear the pins relative to that par. A separate Practice Mode allows for free experimentation with any pin configuration.
