Saturday Night Slam Masters Overview
Saturday Night Slam Masters presents a wrestling experience where ten distinct characters, each with unique fighting styles and special attacks, compete. The ring environment allows for strategic use of the turnbuckles and ropes, and combat can extend outside the ring where temporary access to weapons is possible.
Control is managed through three primary buttons dedicated to jumping, attacking, and pinning opponents. Close quarters combat enables grapples, which can transition into a variety of moves including throws and body slams.
Platform specific content differentiates the versions. The SNES release includes a Battle Royal mode supporting up to four players, a feature absent from the Genesis edition. Conversely, the Genesis version offers a Death Match, a no rules variant where weapons are standard and the ring ropes are replaced with barbed wire.
