Lemmings Overview
Lemmings is a puzzle game where the objective is to guide a procession of creatures to safety. Success is measured by the percentage of these characters that reach an exit point within each stage.
Players do not control the creatures directly. Instead, they assign specific skills from a limited set to individual lemmings to alter their behavior and environment. These skills include creating staircases, tunneling through obstacles, and surviving falls, among others. The challenge lies in applying these functions correctly and efficiently to navigate hazards.
The game's structure consists of numerous levels grouped by escalating difficulty, beginning with easy introductory stages and progressing to challenging puzzles. Later levels often require intricate sequences of actions and careful resource management. Time pressure and the continuous emergence of new lemmings add to the complexity, demanding both planning and precise timing from the player.
