Push-Over Overview
Push-Over is a puzzle platformer for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. The player controls an ant navigating a large, multi-world anthill structured with domino-like tiles and locked gates.
Progress is achieved by arranging and toppling these tiles in a specific sequence to trigger the final marked tile, which opens the gate. The ant can die from a high fall, requiring a level restart. Different tile types govern the puzzle logic, including standard pushers, immovable red tiles that reverse direction, explosive tiles, tiles that move continuously, and tiles that form bridges or attach to ceilings.
The core challenge involves solving these spatial puzzles under a time limit, demanding quick thinking. A password system allows players to resume their progress. In this SNES version, the objective is to collect drops of cash for a rat character, a change from other versions of the game.
