Panel de Pon Overview
Panel de Pon is an action puzzle game where players manage a rising stack of blocks by swapping them horizontally to create matches. The core challenge involves forming rows or columns of three or more identical blocks to clear them, which can trigger chain reactions as new pieces fall. Successful combos send obstructive garbage blocks to an opponent, which can only be removed by clearing adjacent normal blocks.
The setting involves a conflict in the world of Popples, where the fairy Lip must free her companions and confront the devil king Thanatos to restore peace. Despite its whimsical presentation, the matches are described as extremely fast-paced, making the gameplay challenging.
Several modes are available, including a story-based campaign against computer opponents and a two-player competitive option. Additional variants feature endless play, time-limited clearing objectives, and specific puzzles with fixed solutions. An international release replaced the original characters with those from Yoshi's Island and was titled Tetris Attack.
