Wani Wani World Overview
Wani Wani World is a platforming game for the Sega Genesis featuring two dinosaur protagonists, Charlie and Smiley. Their primary action involves using large hammers to create pits in the ground, into which enemies can fall. Once trapped, a subsequent hammer strike transforms the foe into collectible items, often food.
The structure consists of five distinct worlds, each containing multiple screen based stages and concluding with a major boss encounter. A cooperative two player mode is supported, and bonus minigames appear between the primary worlds, offering opportunities to gather additional items.
This release is an adapted version of an earlier arcade title, The Berlin Wall, which itself has roots in a 1980 game called Space Panic. The core loop involves navigating ladders and platforms while managing enemies through this specific trapping and attacking method.
