NHL ’94 Overview
NHL '94 is a hockey simulation that integrates official league and players' association licenses for the first time. This allows the game to include all twenty-six teams and their rosters from the contemporary NHL season.
Core gameplay options are consistent with the series, letting users set period length, manage line changes, and decide on penalty enforcement. Exhibition matches, playoff series, and a new shoot-out mode are available. The removal of fighting is a notable change from earlier versions.
Mechanical updates introduced in this edition include the one-timer shot and more forceful defensive checks with new animations. For a challenging experience, players have the option to take direct control of the goaltender.
While released on multiple platforms, the PC version is distinguished by its full season mode. Other versions offer variations like stat tracking or enhanced audio and video presentation.
