Disney’s Aladdin Overview
Disney's Aladdin is a side-scrolling action game where the protagonist navigates environments taken directly from the film. These include Agrabah's urban landscape, the Cave of Wonders, and the Sultan's dungeon, culminating in a showdown at Jafar's palace.
Opposition comes from palace guards and desert creatures, which Aladdin can fend off using a sword or by throwing collected apples. The game incorporates a currency system where gathered gems can be exchanged with a roaming merchant for additional lives and continues.
Special bonus stages are accessed by finding icons of the Genie or Abu. The Genie's round is a chance-based game offering rewards of apples, gems, or lives. In Abu's stage, the player directs the monkey to catch falling beneficial items while avoiding objects like rocks and pots.
The visual presentation is distinguished by its cartoon-style animation, which was produced by Walt Disney Feature Animation.
