Touchdown Fever Overview
Touch Down Fever presents a top-down, vertically scrolling interpretation of American football. Matches follow standard scoring rules across four quarters, with quarter lengths configurable to five, ten, or fifteen minutes. Victory is determined by the team with the most points when time expires.
The game offers twelve teams, divided evenly between East and West conferences, though they represent NFL cities without official league or player licensing. Players can engage in single league matches or tournaments, competing against the computer, a human opponent, or cooperating with a partner against CPU-controlled teams.
On offense, play selection is organized around five primary formations, covering long and short passes, quarterback sneaks, running plays, and special teams actions for kicking or punting. Defensive control is more direct, allowing the user to switch between two designated players before the snap, with no specific defensive formations to choose from.
