LayLa Overview
LayLa is a mission based game where the player navigates a series of eight asteroid environments. The objective is to defeat a doctor and rescue a character named Iris.
Progress requires finding specific password disks hidden within each asteroid. The levels are structured as cavernous mazes, traversed using elevators to access different areas. Players control LayLa, who can shoot enemies and collect various items. These include weapons like handguns and grenades, as well as utility items such as roller skates.
Each asteroid concludes with a boss encounter that must be cleared to advance. Between these main stages, a bonus horizontal shooter sequence occurs. In this segment, LayLa pilots a ship to destroy enemy squadrons for bonus points, without risk of damage.
