Heavy Shreddin is a snowboarding title for the NES where gameplay is organized across three distinct mountain peaks: Poseur Peak, Scary Summit, and Mt. Mortified. Each peak provides several runs where the player participates in a variety of timed and skill based events.
The five primary event types test different abilities. These include straight speed in Downhill, navigating flagged gates in Slalom, and performing aerial tricks within a Half pipe. Other modes involve jumping over Moguls or dealing with assorted obstacles in the Backwoods event.
Points can be accumulated during runs by successfully executing specific stunts. The available tricks include maneuvers such as a toe grab, hand plant, mid air 360, and a mule kick.
