Tecmo NBA Basketball Overview
Tecmo NBA Basketball is a sports simulation featuring twenty seven licensed NBA teams. Its roster system includes three hundred twenty four individual players, each with distinct numerical ratings across six key attributes: shooting, stamina, jumping, speed, stealing, and blocking.
Multiple play modes offer different levels of user involvement. Control can be fully manual, or delegated to the computer entirely. A coach mode lets the user call plays without controlling the on court action directly, while a skip mode instantly simulates and displays a game's outcome. The length of each quarter is adjustable, with a range from two to twelve minutes.
The game supports both a pre season and a full season mode. During a season, it maintains comprehensive statistical records for both teams and individual players as the schedule progresses.
