Bandai Golf - Challenge Pebble Beach is a golf simulation for one or two players based on the real Pebble Beach course. The game presents a full 18-hole round where players manage variables like wind and navigate typical hazards including bunkers, water, and the ocean's proximity.
Players make strategic decisions for each shot, beginning with club selection. The interface provides multiple views of the hole, from an overhead perspective to a cross-section and close-ups of the green, aiding in shot planning. Control over the power and direction of the ball, including hooks and slices, is a key mechanic.
After executing a shot, the game informs the player of the ball's lie and the remaining yardage to the pin.
