3-D WorldRunner presents a scenario where the inhabitants of eight worlds within Solar System #517 are under threat from Grax and his Serpentbeasts. The player controls the designated hero, whose primary action is to jump.
Gameplay involves navigating a path that moves toward the screen from a third-person perspective. Jumping is used to avoid pits and adversaries, as well as to reach the tops of columns. Collectible bonus items can be found in various locations, including airborne, on column tops, and on the ground. The original release included 3-D glasses to enable a stereoscopic visual effect.
