Rubble Saver is a side-scrolling shooter where players control a police officer named Tony. After being abducted by a UFO along with his sister, Tony is stranded in an alien environment and must search for her.
His primary means of survival is a powerful, sentient mech left behind by the aliens. Gameplay involves navigating hostile environments and combating various alien creatures. A key mechanic is the collection of weapon upgrades to enhance the mech's capabilities during this journey.
Being hit by enemies results in the loss of the mech, leaving Tony exposed and vulnerable. This creates a challenging dynamic where maintaining the mech's integrity is central to progression.
