Rolan's Curse is an action RPG presented from an isometric viewpoint. The player controls a hero tasked with confronting King Barius, an evil ruler who, after years of imprisonment, has been freed and now sends regenerating monsters against the land's citizens. A second player can join for cooperative play.
Combat utilizes a starting sword and a Fire Wand that projects fireballs. Progression involves finding specific utility items, including a magic axe to remove obstructions, a chameleon's ring for camouflage, and a defensive shield.
