On the Tiles Overview
Franky, Joe & Dirk: On the Tiles is a sliding puzzle game where players reassemble scrambled images derived from three specific Elite Systems titles. The core objective involves manipulating tiles one space at a time to restore the original picture.
Gameplay is modified by special items that appear temporarily on tiles. These introduce various effects when their tile is moved, including a challenging timed bomb, a lock-and-key mechanism that restricts movement, and others that reshuffle sections, add time, or instantly solve the puzzle.
Players can select from four difficulty levels and two primary modes. Both modes impose a time limit, but one is a standard game with the special items, while the other is a strictly timed challenge played without them.
