Shikinjou is a puzzle game where oversized mahjong tiles obstruct the player's path to a goal. The core mechanic involves pushing these tiles, with matching pairs disappearing when placed adjacent to each other. Certain tile types will immobilize any movable piece that touches them.
Beyond the standard puzzles, the game features a construction mode for designing custom challenges. Progress is recorded through a password system. A special puzzle mode alters the fundamental rules, providing a distinct variation on the gameplay.
The Megadrive release offers multiple visual and audio sets to choose from. The game presents dozens of puzzles, making for a challenging experience.
