Motocross Maniacs is a side-scrolling racing game where the player controls a rider navigating treacherous tracks. The objective is to finish each course before a timer expires, making the pacing challenging.
Gameplay involves overcoming environmental obstacles such as jumps, loops, and mud. Several power-ups are available to aid progress, including items that extend the time limit, provide nitro boosts, or increase maximum speed.
While primarily a single-player experience focused on achieving record times, the game also supports competitive modes. These include racing against a computer opponent or facing another player using a link cable.
