Hyper Lode Runner Overview
Hyper Lode Runner is a puzzle action game where the player collects gold scattered across brick platforms. The primary obstacle comes from pursuing enemies called Mad Monks, which can be temporarily trapped by removing certain blocks. This block manipulation also serves as a method for the player to descend to lower areas of a stage.
Movement is expanded beyond running through the inclusion of climbable ladders and vertical ropes, though these are also accessible to the enemies. The game offers a substantial number of stages to complete, totaling fifty. Additional features include a competitive VS mode and a construction tool for designing custom levels.
This editor allows for the creation of a few levels, which can incorporate timed segments. A significant limitation is that these user made stages cannot be preserved after the system is powered off.
