Tetris Plus is an updated version of the puzzle game released for multiple platforms, including the Game Boy. Its gameplay extends beyond the standard formula by incorporating a distinct Puzzle mode where the objective is to rescue a professor by clearing blocks to lower him to safety.
Players can also engage in direct competition through a Versus mode or design their own stages using an Edit mode. These features are in addition to the expected Classic mode, providing several ways to interact with the core block-matching mechanics.
