Dr. Mario Overview
Dr. Mario is a puzzle game where players assume the role of the doctor, tasked with clearing a container of viruses. The core action involves dropping two-colored pills into the play area, with each segment being red, blue, or yellow.
Elimination occurs when a virus is matched with corresponding pill segments. This requires aligning three segments of the same color with a virus of that color, or creating a larger group of four or more matching pills and viruses. Successful matches remove both the involved viruses and the pills from the bottle.
The primary objective is to remove all viruses to complete a level, while failure results from the play area filling to the top. The game offers multiple modes, including a standard progression, a time-limited trial, and a competitive two-player battle format.
