Wanko de Kururin! Wancle is a falling-block puzzle title for the Game Boy Advance. Its core mechanics involve clearing colored dogs by matching them with a doghouse of the same color, with players dropping pairs containing these elements. Successfully creating extended sequences before clearing them yields significantly higher scores.
A story mode provides a single-player campaign, interspersing puzzle matches against computer opponents with brief narrative segments. This mode allows for character customization, where players select and name a human protagonist and choose from numerous dog breeds to personalize. For direct competition, a two-player option is available via the system's link cable.
The game incorporates a competitive element where triggering chain reactions sends obstructive bone blocks to the opponent's area. Dogs that consume these bones are temporarily prevented from entering their houses. An additional single-player challenge exists in a score attack format, tasking the player with progressing through one hundred levels while accumulating points.
