Nonono Puzzle Chairian is a compilation of three distinct puzzle experiences on a single Game Boy Advance cartridge, developed by Creatures. The premise involves aliens whose spacecraft malfunctions after an encounter with a black hole, with each game tasking the player with repairing a different machine.
A common control scheme is used across the modes, where a cursor manipulates a 2x2 square block by rotating it in either direction. One application of this has the player rearranging items within a microwave to deposit them into specific holes before a timer expires, with periodic challenging stages that restrict movement options. Another mode uses the rotation mechanic to alter pathways for an autonomous creature, guiding it to an endpoint; its speed can be increased with a button press.
The most complex game presents an 8x8 grid filled with numbered blocks. The objective is to create horizontal or vertical lines of matching numbers, which then transform into the next higher value. This chain reaction continues, with lines of sixes being removed entirely, and allows for strategic manipulation of other blocks during transformations to create extensive combos.
