Castleween Overview
Castleween is a platforming adventure where two children, Alicia and Greg, must rescue their petrified friends in a supernatural realm. Their journey takes them through a series of locations including a cemetery and a haunted house, comprising fifteen distinct stages.
Progression relies on managing the two protagonists, who possess complementary abilities. Alicia uses ranged ice attacks and is immune to fall damage, while Greg specializes in fire and can execute a super jump. A resource system governs character switching and special moves, as both actions consume crystals collected within the levels.
The game presents a 2D interpretation of its console counterpart, with redesigned stages and a reduced emphasis on puzzles. The core loop involves navigating these environments and engaging in combat with various enemies.
