Super Mario Advance Overview
Super Mario Advance packages two distinct games into a single release. The primary component is an enhanced version of Super Mario Bros. 2, featuring its characteristic platforming action where characters run, jump, and throw vegetables.
This version introduces several new elements, including a scoring system, voice samples, and a robotic boss enemy named Robirdo. A collection task involves finding 100 red ace coins, with five hidden in each stage; gathering all five in a stage rewards an extra life. After the main game is finished, a challenging Yoshi Challenge mode becomes available, tasking players with locating two hidden Yoshi eggs in every stage without losing a life.
The second included game is the arcade title Mario Bros., which supports cooperative or competitive play focused on knocking enemies off platforms and collecting coins.
