Sutte Hakkun Overview
Sutte Hakkun is a puzzle-focused platformer where the player controls a flightless, penguin-like bird named Hakkun. The objective is to restore a shattered Rainbow of Happiness by gathering its crystal fragments scattered across the Peaceful Islands.
Progress is achieved by manipulating two key elements: blocks and colored potions. Hakkun can swallow and reposition blocks, and can suck potions from jars to inject into blocks, altering their properties based on the fluid's color. Levels are completed by collecting all rainbow shards present, with no time constraints or enemy interference to create a fair pace.
The scoring system encourages efficiency, as players begin each stage with a set point total that decreases with every action taken. The game was originally distributed in segmented parts via the Satellaview add-on, with the complete version later released as a standard Super Famicom cartridge, which was subsequently made available on the Wii Virtual Console.
