The Castle of Dr. Malvado Overview
The Castle of Dr. Malvado is a 2D side-scrolling action game developed with the DIV Games Studio suite. The player controls a contemporary child transported to a fantasy realm ruled by the malevolent Dr. Malvado.
Gameplay involves navigating left and right, jumping across platforms and onto hostile creatures to defeat them. These enemies, which include bears, wasps, spiders, and ghosts, are lethal upon contact. The player begins with three lives, a number that can occasionally be supplemented with bonuses, making the overall difficulty fair.
Progress is achieved by collecting bagels, reaching checkpoint markers to enable respawns, and advancing through the game's three distinct levels. The primary objective is to defeat Dr. Malvado while simultaneously achieving the highest possible score.
