SimTower: The Vertical Empire is a construction and management simulation where players develop a multi-use skyscraper. The project originates from a Japanese concept, reflecting real-world environments where vertical living is typical.
Economic viability is the primary objective, requiring a balanced mix of residential, commercial, and entertainment facilities rather than a single-purpose structure. The internal transportation network, particularly elevator systems, forms a critical logistical component that demands careful planning.
Players observe the building's inhabitants, whose routines and satisfaction are affected by operational efficiency. The simulation includes emergency scenarios such as fires and security incidents, which introduce challenging dynamic events. A separate PlayStation release provides an exclusive additional scenario.
