Robinson’s Requiem Overview
Robinson's Requiem is a first-person roleplaying game set in a future where faster-than-light travel exists. The player assumes the role of a "Robinson," an individual often exiled under dangerous pretenses, who becomes stranded on an alien world. Survival here is challenging, as the game models a detailed physiological system where environmental conditions and untreated injuries lead directly to consequences like illness or amputation.
The setting involves a mysterious planet where another survivor, a telepathic woman, is also trapped. Her knowledge of a potential escape method creates a central objective, though achieving it requires the player's assistance. Progression depends heavily on crafting tools from scavenged planetary resources, rather than relying on pre-made equipment.
Graphically, the environment is presented using voxel-based terrain with pre-rendered sprite objects overlaid. This visual approach complements a gameplay loop focused on exploration, resource management, and maintaining the character's health in a hostile, unfamiliar setting.
