Realms of Chaos is an action title from the developer Apogee, later known as 3D Realms. The adventure spans 26 levels organized into three distinct episodes, with the objective of locating the origin of a corruption plaguing the land of Mysteria.
Control alternates between two protagonists: Endrick, a warrior specializing in melee combat with a sword, and Elandra, a sorceress who attacks from range using a limited supply of gem-powered fireballs. While character switching is freely permitted, both share a single health pool, making the game challenging as the death of either necessitates restarting the current level.
