Menzoberranzan Overview
Menzoberranzan is a first person role playing game where players control a party of adventurers. The narrative begins after a conflict in Icewind Dale, with the player characters drawn into a rescue mission when drow raiders take villagers hostage. This quest eventually leads into the drow city itself.
Gameplay operates using the Advanced Dungeons & Dragons rule set for character development and combat. The real time combat system requires players to select attack options and target enemies directly. The game engine is shared with Ravenloft: Strahd's Possession.
During the adventure, the party can be expanded by recruiting additional characters, including the well known figures Drizzt and Guenhwyvar from R.A. Salvatore's novels. The involvement of a local guard captain is also suggested as part of the effort to save the hostages.
