Hugo III: Jungle of Doom concludes the original EGA adventure trilogy. The player controls Hugo, whose objective is to locate a curative pool of life after a plane crash strands him and Penelope in a South American jungle, where she suffers a venomous snake bite.
This installment retains the series engine while introducing specific additions like a turbo function and a system for hints. The adventure involves navigating the jungle environment and encountering figures such as a witch doctor.
Following this title, the Hugo franchise continued with a fourth game, which adopted a different format as the first-person shooter Nitemare 3D.
