Gladiator presents a side scrolling perspective as the player navigates a castle. The primary role involves managing a shield to block incoming projectiles while also engaging in direct sword combat against adversaries.
Progression through the environment involves collecting icons, which serve to enhance defensive capabilities or provide score bonuses. A temporary state of invulnerability is also available to the gladiator character.
